1. Female
also stepped ahead to keep pace with the socio-economic
development of Bangladesh. Bangladesh Navy is the
pioneer force to induct lady cadets for regular
commissioned service training. The history started on 12
January 2000, when 16 female cadets joined BNA.
2. Female
cadets are trained in the same curriculum and duration
as of male cadets. However, considering their
capabilities and constraints, achievable standards are
set for females in physical training. So far, no major
casualty or physical invalidment occurred due to
training at BNA.
3. In BNA
female cadets are accommodated in completely separate
cabins and dormitories. The residence is out of bound
for males. Special arrangements are made to maintain
privacy.
4.
Arrangement of dedicated female doctors is made to look
after the female cadets.
