ABOUT BN WELFARE |

|
Welfare Directorate of Bangladesh Navy is being
operated under Assistant Chief of Naval Staff
(Personnel) to perform welfare related activities
of Officers & Sailors. At present following
welfare projects are taken in hand. |
|
1.
BN Co-operative Housing Society,
Savar :
BN Co-operative housing society estb in 1979 with
the approval of concerned authority of the
Government. The aim of this housing society is to
provide a mear piece of land to those officers who
are not eligible to get a land in DOHS and for the
general sailor of BN. A total number of 1130 Plots
are prepared to distribute among the members.
Officer are entitled to get 3 Kathas of land and
sailors 2.5 Kathas. Presently road lavelling and
gas transmission lines are ongoing in the project. |

2.
Mirpur Pallabi Housing :
Six in number Plots were sold to BN by Govt in
2004-2005. BN has a plan to establish some
buildings in that area to reduce the acute
shortage of service quarters. During the process
two Plots are already established and others will
be accomplished subsequently. The Flats will be
rented to the allottees against reduced monthly
rent/fare. |

3.
Planning to establish BN ‘Ashar Alo’ School and
rehabilitation centre :
To rehabilitate the disable and
handicapped children of navy personnel a 4 storied
foundation building will be established inside the
sailors colony-2 in Chittagong. The vocational training
centre and physical treatment will be delivered from
this centre. The School will be able to accommodate 100
handicapped children under various levels/different
discipline. |

4.
Cox’s Bazar Beach Project :
To increase the welfare related programs in BN specially
to help the BN personnel during their need, BN is
planning to establish a profit making project to Cox’s
Bazar. Lands have already been purchased for this
reason. |

5.
Khulna Project in Boyra near Sailor’s
Colony :
An amount of 16.90 Katha land have been purchased to
establish some shops in Boyra, Khulna near sailors
colony. The aim of this project is to rehabilitate the
retired personnel of BN. |
|
6.
Distress, Widow and veteran allowances :
BN is planning to provide widow allowances of Tk.2000/00
per year per person as a rememberence of the concerned.
This amount will be a token and will be increased in
future. Widows of ex-BN personnel who did not got
married will be allowed for this allowance. |
|
7. BN
Medical Treatment Assistant :
BN has introduced a fund named ‘BN Medical Treatment
Assistance Fund’ to help the poor people/personnel of BN
who cannot bear their cost of treatment. Steps has been
taken in beef up the fund through various income
generating source. |
|
8.
Education purpose stipend and grants for the retired
Naval Personnel
Children :
Bangladesh Navy Benevolent Fund gives some
grants/stipend for retired poor Naval Personnel and
their School, College & University going children’s.
Prescribed application required to be submitted through
DASB. |
|
9.
Every year 8 to 10 personnel are being sponsored by BN
to perform holy Hajj in Saudi Arabia. Persons are
selected from all categories through their long,
dedicated and meritorious service towards BN. |

SCHOOL
AND COLLEGES OF BN |
|
|
|
1.
Bangladesh Navy has its own schools and collages
at Dhaka, Chittagong and Khulna. All service
personnel and civil employees are cordially
invited to get admission of your children in BN
school. Meritorious civil students are also can
apply for admission in BN School and Colleges.

BNBF
Meeting will be held on 26 July
2010 at 0900 hrs at NHQ Conference Hall. The
meeting will be presided by Assistant Chief of Naval
Staff (Personnel). All the members are requested to
be present in time.
CO-ORDINATION MEETING OF BNCHSL PROJECT MANAGEMENT
COMMITTEE
On 02 August
2010 at 1000 hrs a Co-ordination meeting of BNCHSL
Project Management Committee will be held
at NHQ
Conference hall presided by
Assistant Chief of Naval
Staff (Personnel). All the members of the Committee are
requested to present in the meeting.
